Be an Informed Traveler

At TravelGurls, we believe your journey should be smooth, stress-free, and filled with nothing but good vibes from takeoff to touchdown. That’s why we provide more than just destination recommendations — we also make sure you’re prepared with the right travel documents before you ever pack your bags.

Please take a few moments to review the information below before you travel. A little preparation now means you can relax and fully enjoy the adventure ahead.

Passports

  • You are responsible for obtaining the proper travel documents for the destinations on your itinerary.
  • Your U.S. passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.
  • Applications are available at most U.S. Post Offices and Passport Agencies.
  • To learn more about applying for or expediting a U.S. passport, click here.
  • Passports should contain unstamped visa pages for required visas.

Visas

  • Some destinations require visas that must be obtained before arrival. Contact the appropriate foreign consulate with enough time for mailing and processing.
  • You may also use a fee-based visa service for convenience.
  • If your itinerary involves re-entering the same country, you may need a double-entry or multiple-entry visa — describe your plans clearly when applying.

Entry Requirements for U.S. Passport Holders

  • Requirements vary by country. Check with the relevant consular office or click here for updates.
  • Non-U.S. citizens should consult their own consular representatives for entry requirements.

Health Note: Yellow Fever Vaccine

  • The CDC reports that the Yellow Fever vaccine is in limited supply and only available at select U.S. clinics.
  • If your trip requires this vaccine (common for parts of Africa and Central/South America), schedule your appointment early.
  • Find a Yellow Fever vaccine clinic here.
